Damira Allen, a sophomore at Ganado High, placed second in the Division 3 final by a 19:32.3 to 19:32.4 margin at the Arizona Interscholastic Association state championship meet on the 5-kilometer layout at Cave Creek Golf Course in Phoenix. Allen helped Ganado take third overall as a team with 143 points.
